Cross & Helm pendant beside a wedding ring and Bible as a reminder of faith, marriage, and fatherhood

WHY CROSS & HELM EXISTS

It started with a question I could not answer.

My church did a series on God-given gifts. At the end, they asked one question: are you using your gifts for the Kingdom of God?

I sat with that for a long time. The honest answer was no. I had a background in casting metal, a skill I had developed over years, and I was not doing anything with it that mattered beyond the work itself.

For over a year I turned that question over in my head. How do you use casting experience for the Kingdom? I did not have an answer. So I kept asking.

“Are you using your gifts for the Kingdom of God?”

Then one day I just sat down and made something for myself.

I used to wear a cross. At some point I swapped it for a Spartan helmet pendant. I always felt a little off about that, like I had traded the thing that actually meant something for something that just looked strong.

So I decided to make something that combined them. A pendant that carried the weight of faith and the resolve of a man who is willing to stand in it. That was the Helm. The cross visor cut into the face of the helmet. The Helmet of Salvation, made to wear.

But the deeper reason I made it was personal. For the better part of a year, my biggest struggle in my faith was simple: I kept forgetting to rely on Christ. Not in a dramatic way. Just in the everyday way that men do. A problem comes up and you fix it. A challenge hits and you push through. You never stop and ask, is this what God wants me to do? Is this how He wants me to handle it?

I needed a reminder I could feel. Something that would catch me in the middle of the day and pull me back to the right question. That was the purpose of the pendant.

“I needed a reminder I could feel all day. Not a decoration. A weight that meant something.”

Then it hit me all at once.

This was the answer to the question my church asked over a year earlier. Help men carry a reminder to rely on Christ. To put Him first. To be a better Christian, a better husband, a better father.

From that moment to the actual launch of Cross & Helm was two weeks. I know that is hard to believe. I am still a little stunned by it myself. But that is how fast it came together once I stopped overthinking it and trusted that God had already worked out the details.

Since then, in roughly two months, we have done over $200,000 in sales. That is not a number I share to impress anyone. I share it because it is evidence that this was not my idea. I am not that good. God moved, and I just showed up.

“From the initial idea to launch: two weeks. That is how I know God was involved.”

This is just the beginning.

As Cross & Helm grows, we are going to give back. To church ministries, local missions, and other organizations doing real work in the Kingdom. That is built into what this is. It was never just a pendant company.

So whether you are buying for yourself or as a gift for someone else, I want you to know what you are part of. The goal is simple: bring more people to Jesus, and help men be better Christians and better versions of themselves.

I am genuinely grateful for your support. Every order matters to this mission.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

MADE BY HAND

Cast in Texas. Finished by hand.

Every pendant is investment cast, hand-finished, and inspected in our workshop in Texas. We do not outsource and we do not mass-produce. Small tool marks and quiet variation are part of the work. They keep each piece connected to the hands that made it.

That decision costs more and takes longer. It is the right one.

WHAT IT IS

A reminder, not a decoration.

A Cross & Helm pendant is not jewelry to dress up an outfit. It is a quiet weight worn against the chest to remind a man of the order of his life. Christ first. Then the wife. Then the children. Then the work. Then everything else.

If that is the order you are trying to live by, this is for you.
