WHY CROSS & HELM EXISTS
It began with a question.
My church did a series on God-given gifts. At the end, they asked one question: are you using your gifts for the Kingdom of God?
The honest answer was no. I had spent years learning to cast metal, but I had not connected that skill with my faith.
For more than a year, I kept asking how I could use that experience for the Kingdom.
“Are you using your gifts for the Kingdom of God?”
A reminder I could feel.
I used to wear a cross. At some point I swapped it for a Spartan helmet pendant. I always felt a little off about that, like I had traded the thing that actually meant something for something that just looked strong.
So I brought the two together: the cross at the center of the helm. The helmet of salvation, made to wear.
The deeper reason was personal. I kept forgetting to rely on Christ. When a problem came up, I would try to solve it without pausing to pray or ask how He wanted me to respond.
I needed a reminder I could feel throughout the day. Something to bring my heart back to Christ. That became the purpose of the pendant.

A purpose for the work.
I began to see an answer to my church’s question: help men carry a reminder to rely on Christ. To put Him first in faith, marriage, and fatherhood.
From that idea to launch was two weeks. Once I stopped overthinking and trusted God with the work, Cross & Helm began to take shape.

What comes next.
As Cross & Helm grows, my hope is to support church ministries, local missions, and others serving the Kingdom through this work.
Whether you choose a pendant for yourself or someone you love, the purpose is the same: a daily reminder to rely on Christ.

Every pendant is investment cast, finished by hand, and inspected in our Texas workshop. Small tool marks and subtle variation reflect the hands that made each piece.
We take care with each piece, from the first casting to the final finish.
