Ordered Man — App Privacy Policy
Ordered Man — Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 27, 2026
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This privacy policy describes how the Ordered Man mobile application ("the App"), published by Cross & Helm, handles your information. The App is a 30-day Christian devotional and challenge tool for men. This policy applies only to the App. The Cross & Helm website has a separate privacy policy that governs purchases and visits to crossandhelm.com.
Plain-language summary
The Ordered Man App was built to be private by default. We do not run our own server, we do not have user accounts, and we do not share your information with anyone. Your day-by-day progress, reflections, and notes are stored locally on your device — they never leave it unless you choose to share something yourself.
Information stored on your device
When you use the App, the following information is stored locally on your device using the device's standard local storage:
- Which days of the 30-day challenge you have completed.
- Notes and reflections you write inside the App.
- Your local preferences (theme, notification time, onboarding status).
This information stays on your device. We cannot see it. It is not transmitted to Cross & Helm, to any server, or to any third party. If you delete the App, this information is removed along with it.
Information we do not collect
The App does NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Your location.
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera input.
- Analytics data about how you use the App.
- Crash reports tied to you personally.
- Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or tracking IDs.
The App does NOT include third-party advertising, social-media tracking, or analytics SDKs.
Notifications
If you grant the App permission, it can send you a daily local notification reminding you to complete that day's challenge. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by the operating system. No notification content is sent through any server we operate. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
Sharing to social media
The App includes a "Share to Facebook" feature. When you tap Share, the App copies a short pre-written message about the current day to your device's clipboard and opens the system share sheet. You decide whether to actually post. Cross & Helm has no visibility into what you choose to share, when, or with whom. Once content leaves the App, it is governed by the destination service's privacy policy.
Children
The App is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Permissions the App may request
| Permission | Why it is requested |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To send optional daily reminders. You can decline or revoke at any time. |
| Calendar (Android only, optional) | Reserved for a future calendar-reminder feature; the current version does not write to your calendar. |
Refusing notification permission only disables the daily reminder feature; the rest of the App works normally.
Third-party services
The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If you use the App's Share feature, your device hands off content to whatever app you select (Facebook, Messages, Mail, etc.). Those services have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them.
How we communicate with you
We do not communicate with App users directly through the App. There is no in-app messaging, no email collection, and no server-side push notifications. To contact us, email johnny@crossandhelm.com.
Your rights
Because we do not collect, store, or process any personal information about you on our servers, there is no personal data on our side for you to access, correct, export, or delete. Your data is on your device, under your control. To delete it, delete the App or clear its local storage from your device's Settings.
If you reside in a jurisdiction (California, the EU, the UK, etc.) that grants you specific data-subject rights, you may contact us at the email above with any questions.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles information, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of the App and surfaced inside the App on next launch.
